Azam keeps making headlines for Pakistan by his brilliant batting and winning matches. Recently, he became the first Pakistani captain to win his first 4 test matches. Although, that came against a weakened South Africa and Zimbabwe test teams. Hence, experts predict that at this rate, Azam will go on to become the greatest batsman Pakistan has ever produced. He might overshadow even the likes of Javed Miandad and Inzamam Ul Haq.

However, he is the news again. This time the news is related to his personal life. According to local news reports from Pakistan, Babar Azam has been engaged to his paternal cousin. Both the families agreed to the relation after agreeing between themselves. In all likelihood, Azam will get married to his fiancee by next year.

Sharp reactions

After the news was confirmed, a lot of cricket fans had their say on this matter. While some were of the conclusion that it is a personal matter of the cricketer, others criticized and trolled Azam for this. Moreover, they were of the opinion that the Pakistani captain should not have engaged with a girl who happens to be his cousin.
