Chennai Super Kings have not had the best of starts to their IPL 2020 camp. After being struck by a corona crisis, the franchise had hit rock bottom when Suresh Raina decided to withdraw from the tournament.

On the other hand, there was visible unhappiness from board and other franchises over these incidents. The fans also looked concerned over the past week. As per the latest reports, Harbhajan Singh could also pull out of IPL 2020.

The veteran off spinner is one of their key players last season. He did not join the pre-season camp that was setup in Chennai last month. Harbhajan Singh stayed back at home to look after his ill mother. However, the 40-year old was expected to join the camp in the last week of August.

But he is yet to fly to Dubai and have further delayed his travel. Things are changing quickly and the management are not longer sure whether he will join the team this season.

“He was to join the team on 1st September but he has again deferred his arrival. We don’t know when he’s coming or whether he’s coming at all as he has not updated us (management) on his decision,”a source close to the development said.

“Him pulling out of IPL is all speculation at the moment,” the official told Times Now.

So far nothing has been official on the availability of Harbhajan Singh for IPL 2020. However, missing a veteran like him will be a huge blow for an already low Chennai Super Kings camp.

CSK Relieved With Latest COVID Results

After being rattled by Corona last week, the team are happy with the results of latest tests. All the players and staff were tested negative in the latest round of tests. However, they will undergo another round of tests on September 3.

If they can clear this test, Chennai Super Kings will enter bio bubble. The news came as a huge relief to the management especially after the events that were unveiled last week. With the departure of Suresh Raina, the team pinned their hopes on Ruturaj Gaikwad to step up.

The cricketer is currently undergoing isolation in a separate hotel. However, he will need to quickly step up once he is completely recovered from Corona. He has a gigantic task to fill the boots of Suresh Raina in IPL 2020.
