Indian cricket team has created history when they managed to beat Australia back to back at home. They also broke more records as they became the first team to defeat the hosts at Gabba after 32 years.

However, the most special moment came during the post match presentation. The Indian cricket team has signed a special jersey on the occasion of 100th test for Nathan Lyon. Lyon has played his centurion test match at Gabba but unfortunately was on the losing side.

But Ajnkya Rahane along with Team India has made a special gesture by gifting him a signed jersey. It is a token of appreciation for the spin genius who is widely regarded as one of the greatest players to play for Australia in test cricket.

Lyon has given his all on the final day like other Australian bowlers. However, they failed to stop India from making history by chasing down a record total at Gabba. In fact, this is the highest successful run chase at the venue.

The off spinner was unable to reach historic milestone of 400 wickets as he failed to take 4 wickets in the test match. He is currently at 399 wickets and will join 400 club in the next series Australia plays in.

India managed to pull off a terrific chase on the final day. Shubman Gill and Chesteshwar Pujara laid the foundation and Rishabh Pant gave the knockout blow. Many expected India to get whitewashed after Adelaide test.

The 36 run all out will go down the history books but so will India’s incredible comeback. After a demoralizing defeat, the visitors came back strongly at Melbourne winning the match comfortably.

India then showed their grit at Sydney and batted out more than 130 overs to draw the third test. Not many fancied India to win the final test going into the last day’s play. But this Indian team once again defied the odds and won the series.

India will now have a break and fly back in two days time. They will then host England in a four match test series from early February. On the other hand, Australia are expected to tour South Africa next, but there are still few things that needs to be clarified for this tour to get confirmed.
