Chennai Super Kings’ preparations are on full swing as they are getting ready to face Mumbai Indians on Saturday. The team are looking in good shape as they are heading into IPL 2020.

After the chaos in initial days in Dubai, the team are completely focused over the past couple of weeks. Chennai Super Kings have been playing a lot of intra squad practice matches in recent days.

On Tuesday, Chennai Super Kings have shared an exclusive footage of highlights from the practice game. In the match, the total squad was divided into two teams. Interestingly, Kedar Jadhav was tested at No. 3 position.

Batting first, Faf du Plessis looked in tremendous form in the first innings. The South African showed a variety of shots during the highlights. He should be a sure starter for the first game against Mumbai Indians.

Shane Watson is also looking in great form not in this match, but in all the recent practice matches. On the other hand, Ambati Rayudu was also very good with his power hitting.

MS Dhoni has played during the second innings and looked relaxed while playing. He anchored the innings and has found the boundary whenever he wanted to. He stayed till the end of the chase.

Although CSK did not share the final results, we can be sure that Dhoni helped his side to win the practice match.

Here are the highlights

Chennai Super Kings are facing a daunting task this season. The fans always expect CSK to challenge for the title. Although it is still the case, but the path seems to get lot tougher. With no Suresh Raina and Harbhajan Singh, the team management are trying hard to find a solution for the problem.

They have tried to use Kedar Jadhav at No.3, while Ambati Rayudu or MS Dhoni are other alternatives. Meanwhile, they roped in Piyush Chawla for this edition, so he can cover for the absence of Harbhajan Singh.

CSK might definitely progress through the group phases to knockouts. However, the two star players will be missed in the big matches at the end. But under the leadership of MS Dhoni, there is nothing out of equation.

Many though CSK are a done team in 2018, but they came back roaring with a title win after their two year ban. But at this moment of time, Mumbai Indians are ahead of Chennai Super Kings in title race.
