It was a match of many interesting moments, in the clash of Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore. Jadeja onslaught at the end, Padikkal stunning cameo, then Jadeja’s epic bowling and then DRS moment of Siraj.
The match may have been dud, but there was no shortage of funny incidents through out the match. One such moment was related to Dhoni, which was again quite funny.
Ravindra Jadeja was, bowling the eleventh over of the match. The score of Royal Challengers, at that time was 83-5. On the first ball of the over, Jadeja got the better of AB De Villiers. He bowled him by a delivery, that turned a bit and beat his attempted shot, to hit the middle stump. This wicket, all but ended the chase for Bangalore, as AB was the last recognised batsman of his team.
Then, Harshal Patel came to bat at number 8. As soon as Patel came to bat, Dhoni shouted to Jadeja, ” hindi me nahi bol sakta. Jo kar raha hai wahi karta reh” He said, that with a crooked sort of smile on his face.
Dhoni funny statement
Actually, Dhoni said that he can’t say what he has been saying in Hindi, because unlike foreign players, Patel would understand Hindi and could understand the plan of Jadeja. Thus, Dhoni meant that Jadeja should keep doing what, he was up to and bowl with the same, plan and thoughts.
The match had ended as a contest, but it was a funny moment, that brought laughs from the contingent of Chennai fans and wry smiles from the camp of Bangalore fans.
Although, on the second ball to Patel, Jadeja almost go his wicket. It was a delivery that was short of good length, and the batsman tried to defend it from the wicket. The ball got really close to his bat, and went into the gloves of Dhoni. An appeal was followed and the batsman was given not out.
However, Patel too had the review taken, instantly. The correct decision was found out when in the DRS, it was confirmed that when the ball passed the bat, there was no any murmur on the ultra edge. Hence, Harshal Patel was saved.
