Yuvraj Singh was again at his imperious best in the road safety league. India and West Indies are playing each other in the semi finals of the tournament. West Indies won the toss and sent India to bat first. It proved to be a wrong decision as Indians scored runs at will. At the end of 20 overs, India scored a huge 218-3.
While India had a sensational start at the top due to Virender Sehwag, it ended in even more explosive style as Yuvraj Singh got his old mojo back. His innings made sure India finished with a target of more than 210, where sometime back, it appeared they would not score more than 190.
Yuvraj came to bat at the fall of Sachin Tendulkar. The little master was Out after he hit 65 in 42 balls. India were sitting comfortably at 140 in 15th over when Yuvi arrived.
The first two overs Yuvraj faced was with a bit of calmness. However that proved go be the calm before the storm.
Yuvraj goes 666!
Mahendra Nagamooto came to bowl the 19th over of the innings. He bore the brunt of Yuvraj of old as one after another the batsman smashed 4 sixes in the over.
The first three sixes were hit in typical Yuvraj style. Hit in consecutive 3 deliveries, the first six was on a short delivery that was pumped over deep midwicket.
Second ball of the over was also a long hop and was thumped by Yuvraj again over the mid wicket.
On the third ball, a length delivery was bashed over long on a gigantic six. With 3 sixes in as many deliveries, the fans of Yuvraj went back to 2007 World T20 vs England when Yuvraj had smashed 6 sixes in an over.

But,it did not happen as the next ball was a wide yorker as Yuvraj failed to put bat on it. However, the next delivery was again hoicked over mid wicket for a six to make it 24 runs in 5 balls. The last ball again happened to be a dot.
In the last over bowled by Sulieman Benn. Again, the first delivery Yuvraj played in this over was pummeled for a six. Next ball was a dot followed by a brace.
The fifth ball of the over was thumped for a six by the batsman again. With Yuvraj reaching 48 off 19, hopes were raised for a 50 by Yuvi.
However, the last ball was just a single on a wide and quick delivery as the batter sliced it into covers. Yuvraj had failed to hit a 50 but nevertheless his innings was the reason India reached a monstrous score of 218.
