Dinesh Karthik may not have taken retirement form professional cricket, but it seems that he has already made his decision of what will he do post retirement. Currently the wicket keeper batsman is working as a commentator for Sky Sports in England. The channel is the host broadcaster for all the matches in England.

He had a successful commentary debut for the Sky Channel during the India vs New Zealand in the finals of World Test Championship. The way he pulled the legs of Nasser Hussain who is his fellow commentator from England, it became an instant hit on social media.

Now Karthik has again said something while commentating that has made the fans talk about him. As England and Sri Lanka were facing each other in the second ODI, Karthik was on air. He was talking about the importance of bats with his fellow commentator when he came up with a hilarious statement.

“Batsmen and not liking bats, they go hand in hand. Most of the batters don’t seem to like their bats. They either like another person’s bat. Bats are like a neighbor’s wife. They always feel better”.

Karthik makes everyone laughs!

Immediately this clip of Karthik became viral on social media as fans laughed at this comical reference. For someone who has just started his career in commentary, to impress fans is a big task. Hence, Karthik doing it successfully is quite an achievement itself.

Talking about Dinesh Karthik’s cricket career, the right hand wicket keeper batsman from Tamil Nadu has had a start stop journey. He has played for India in 26 Tests, 94 ODIs and 32 T20Is. It is hard to believe the fact that he debuted in international cricket before MS Dhoni but is still carrying on while Dhoni has retired now.

It is the T20 format where Karthik has been the most productive for India. His match turning innings of 29* in 8 balls in the finals of Nidahas Trophy vs Bangladesh in 2018 is still remembered fondly by Indian fans. However just like the other two formats, he could not establish his place in the Indian T20 side.

At 36 years of age, his international career might be over. Although, he is one of the most senior and important member for his side Kolkata Knight Riders in Indian Premier League.
