At the end, Delhi won easily and collected two points. It put them to the second position at the table. Now Delhi Capitals have played four matches, won three and lost one. Rishabh Pant might have had an off day with the bat, but he was instrumental in, using his bowler with brilliantly planned deliveries.
These, got rid of Mumbai Indians, dangerous batsman. Like, former Indian captain, Dhoni Pant too, was proactive with his bowlers, as well as their field placement. Hence, Mumbai could not cope up with the strategies of Delhi Capitals. One such moment happened during the 18th over when Amit Mishra was going to Ishan Kishan and Kieron Pollard.
Watch Pant in action with advice
It was the third delivery of the eighteenth over and Mishra was going to bowl to Ishan Kishan. Just before Amit Mishra ran to his mark to bowl the delivery, Rishabh Pant said to him “jaisey plan hui thi vaise hi bowl dalna” “Jo Baat Kari Vo Dalenge” .What he meant was that you bowl like we had planned.
Maybe in dressing room they had a particular plan for Ishan Kishan It is a known fact that Kishan is, a good player of spin and can slog sweep them, for sixes at will. Then Amit Mishra delivered a widish Yorker which Ishan Kishan tried to guide through the offside.
However the ball met his inside edge and rammed into the stumps. Hence, Kishan was bowled for 26. It left, Mumbai Indians at 123 for 7 with, just 15 balls left. It was a well planned dismissal, by the team management of Delhi, as all the players specially Amit Mishra, Pant and Ricky Ponting enjoyed it.
