Hardik Pandya is inarguably one of the best pinch hitters in the world. He can change the direction of the game all by himself. Pandya has earned a special name for himself with his incredible all rounder skills over the years.

He has become an important player for India across all formats. Pandya is a match winner and has helped India win many games in limited overs formats. Needless to say, he managed to win the Man of the Series award in the recently concluded T20 series against Australia.

Pandya won two games for India with his finishing skills. He can up the scoring rate when needed and normally takes calculated risks to ensure India reaches the finishing line. On the other hand, he is also one of the best performers for Mumbai Indians’ success in recent years.

Coming to the incident, the match was against Ireland in 2018. Team India were cruising with impressive knocks from KL Rahul and Suresh Raina. The two stylish players managed to hit half centuries.

But India looked to post close to 185 when Hardik Pandya came into the crease with only couple of overs left. Pandya simply turned the tide with his power hitting. His  nine-ball blitz of 32* ensured India crossed the 200-run mark.

After scoring just 1 run from his first two balls, Pandya attacked Ireland bowler Chase. On the third ball, Chase bowled a delivery on the stumps and Pandya flicked the ball with ease to a six.

Next ball he overcompensated and bowled a full delivery and Pandya hit it towards deep mid wicket for a six. In the next over, he went after Kevin O’Brien. Pandya took on and scored another six over mid off while throwing his bat while playing the shot.

He then scored another six in the next ball by hitting gigantic six over mid wicket. Pandya then hit a tennis bat style shot and hammered the down the ball down the ground for a four.

This innings helped India cross 200 mark with ease. India managed to post 213/4 and won the match comfortably thanks to spin web weaved by Chahal and Kuldeep.
