Hardik Pandya is one of the best hard hitting batsmen in the world. He came a long way since making his debut for India.

Over the past few years, the cricketer has become a lethal player with the bat. Perhaps his greatest moment in ball hitting came when he scored 39 runs in one over.

During the 2016 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, Hardik Pandya achieved this feat. He was playing for Baroda against Delhi and his team was in a tough spot. Pandya took the matter in his own hands.

Hardik Pandya scored 81 runs from just 51 deliveries. His innings included five fours and six sixes. He propelled Baroda to 153/6 but Hardik Pandya’s knock became the highlight of the match.

In this match, his true moment came during 19th over. The over yielded 39 runs as it ended up in history books. Akash Sudan was the victim for Pandya’s hitting on the day. Playing only his second T20, Sudan faced the daunting task and failed to contain Pandya on the day.

Pandya was in full flow when he heaved six runs of first ball. On the 2nd ball, he missed a full toss and the ball went for 4 byes. The third ball was heaved for another six. Sudan bowled another beamer and Pandya scored third six of the over.

The umpire declared it as no ball. Pandya hit another four on the rebowled delivery. He finished the over by hitting another 2 sixes. Overall, the over gave 39 runs getting his name into record books. He managed to hit 5 sixes in the over and narrowly missed to join both Ravi Shastri and Yuvraj Singh as the Indian to hit six sixes in an over.
