Indian cricketer Ishant Sharma has made a comeback from injury in the ongoing Syed Musthaq Ali Trophy. He looked in fine touch in his second match after comeback against Andhra team at Wankhede Stadium in Elite Group E.
He managed to dismiss Ricky Bhui in a sensational manner after he bowled him out. Ishant Sharma continued his fine form in his four overs and helped Delhi restrict for Andhra for just 124/9.
Under the captaincy of Shikhar Dhawan, Delhi managed to chase down the target with ease. They finished the match in 17 overs and are currently the top of the table in elite group E.
Ishant Sharma managed to dismiss both KS Bharat (8) and Ricky Bhui (0) in an excellent comeback. Now, that he is back to full fitness, Ishant will need to continue his good performances to ensure that he play a part in IPL 2021.
On the other hand, the return of Ishant Sharma is a huge boost to Indian cricket team. The team has sourly missed his services in Australia. After suffering the injury in late September, Ishant was sidelined until recently.
Meanwhile, Ishant Sharma will need to continue his good performances in Syed Musthaq Ali trophy to continue playing for Delhi Capitals. The IPL teams will soon release players from their roster into the auction pool.
Ishant Sharma was a good fit in Delhi team last year. However, he did not manage to win participate in the tournament as he sustained an abdominal muscle tear before the start of the event.
Here is Ishant Sharma’s wicket
Ishant Sharma will most likely be back into Indian test team for England series. The team is currently marred with injuries as Umesh Yadav and Mohammad Siraj are both injured in the ongoing series against Australia.
Both are ruled out for few weeks and the pacers are facing race against time to be fit for the series. India will face Australia in the final test at Brisbane from tomorrow. Then they will travel back to India and will host England from February in a four match test series.
