Indian cricketer Jasprit Bumrah has been one of the most unconventional bowlers ever. He did the hard steps as he made his debut to India five years ago. Over the years, he has turned into one of the most potent bowlers in the world across formats.

Bumrah has been trying to emulate Anil Kumble’s action for sometime now. It looks like he almost perfectly nailed it after lots of practise. The young bowler was seen bowling leg spin in Indian team’s practice session ahead of England series.

This is not the first time when Bumrah has bowled spin in the nets. The 26 year old enjoys bowling spin bowling in practice sessions as he tries out a range of varieties. BCCI have shared the video by comparing Kumble and Bumrah’s leg spin action.

It looked very close and even great Anil Kumble was impressed with Bumrah. “Well done Boom. Pretty close. You are an inspiration to the next generation of young fast bowlers who are imitating your style. Best wishes for the upcoming series,” Kumble wrote.

Anil Kumble is one of the greatest bowlers in test crickets having picked up 619 wickets. He had retired from international cricket in 2008 and continued his career in various capacities. Kumble also worked as coach for Team India until 2017.

Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah has turned into a vital cog for India in test cricket as well. He turned into India’s spearhead bowler in the recently concluded series against Australia. Bumrah looked in supreme form throughout the series but missed out on Brisbane test due to injury.

However, he is raring to go after recovering from injury. The unconventional pacer has been practicing hard for the upcoming four test series against England in Chennai. India are keen to win the test series as it will take them back to the top of the test rankings.

On the other hand, the hosts are expecting a tough fight from England who looked in great touch in the recently held Sri Lanka series. Joe Root impressed with the bat and it will be an interesting battle to look forward for the fans.
