England fast bowler Jofra Archer has once again shined in the second ODI against Australia. The team needed to win the match in order to stay alive in the three match ODI series. And Archer provided the inspiration for England to win an epic ODI battle.

Having won the toss, England decided to bat first. However, Australian bowlers were brilliant throughout the innings. No England batter managed to score a fifty in this game. They were useful contributions from few players as England managed a below par 231.

But during the innings, Jofra Archer provided the inspiration for England. He managed to dismiss both David Warner and Marcus Stoinis in the opening spell. The way in which he cramp them with his bouncers was a treat to watch for any fast bowling fan.

His sheer pace got the better of the batsmen in these scenarios. They did not have enough time to react as his deliveries were accurate. David Warner has faced issues against Archer since the start of this tour.

The English bowler has dismissed Warner three times already in five encounters. He was cramped for room this time as he tried to manoeuvre the ball towards third ball. The delivery was full of pace and took off from the pitch as Warner could only poke it.

On the other hand, Marcus Stoinis was promoted up the order in this match. He has shown some good performances with the bat in this tour. However, he tried to push the towards leg side. The ball once again was accurate from Archer as it was in rib cage region.

Stoinis could only get his bat on to it by the time the ball reach him. The ball walloped into the air and it was an easy catch for the wicket keeper.

But Australia will be kicking themselves as they lost their way from a comfortable position at 144/2. The visitors lost their last 8 wickets for just 63 runs as the series is evenly pegged at 1-1.

Meanwhile, all England and Australia cricketers will head to Dubai for Indian Premier League on September 17. Rajasthan Royals will be very happy with the performances of Jofra Archer.

The youngster looks to have increased a level in his bowling this year. Despite missing the initial days due to injury, Archer has recovered well in the corona break. Rajasthan are indeed lucky as Archer pulled out of IPL in March due to injury.

Since he is fully fit now, expect some great performances from him in IPL 2020. The mega event will begin this Saturday when Mumbai Indians go up against Chennai Super Kings.
