It was a great day for the Royal Challengers Bangalore. They thrashed the Rajasthan Royals in the battle of Royals. Then, they became the numero uno in the points table of Indian Premier League. Also, they have now won four matches in a row. This is the first time that, the Royal Challengers have won their first four games of the season.
After wining the toss, Kohli sent Rajasthan to bat first. The team got off to a poor start with the bat. They were reduced to 43-4 in the seventh over itself. The skipper Sanju Samson, disappointed once again as he could only make 21 runs when the team needed a captain’s knock from him.
Then, the trio of Riyan Parag, Shivam Dubey and Rahul Tewathia played healthy innings on their own to take Rajasthan to a respectable score of 177.
Mohammad Siraj was the pick of the bowlers. He took 3 wickets and gave 27 runs in 4 overs.
Then, the Royal Challengers Bangalore made a mockery of the chase. They humiliated, the bowling of Rajasthan as they won the game by 10 wickets.
The openers Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal, made merry as they hit, a fifty and a hundred, respectively to seal the chase in, favor of Royal Challengers Bangalore.
However, despite the thrashing they received, the Rajasthan royals maintained, their sportsman spirit, in the highest way possible. It was displayed in the way Jos Buttler treated Devdutt Padikkal, the centurion of the innings and also, the man of the match.
Buttler shows great spirit
Padikkal was batting well. Then suddenly, in between the overs, he saw that his shoe laces are about to be open. Without tight shoe laces, it can get difficult for the players to run around quickly. Also, there is a danger of getting struck in the laces and falling down, risking an injury.
Thus, Jos Buttler also saw this and came forward to tie the shoe laces of him. It was quite a remarkable moment, since Buttler is one of the best white ball players going around in internationa cricket. Also, he is a world cup winner. Meanwhile, Padikkal is just a rookie and is yet to play any kind of cricket for India.
So, to do that for a player of reputation of Buttler, was quite a great moment.
