Not too long ago, Kuldeep Yadav was the trump card of India in limited overs cricket. He was the bowler on whom Indian team banked during the 2019 World cup. The Chinaman spinner was in red hot form prior to the World cup. However, his form ditched him right during the world cup. After getting thrashed brutally by England in a league match, he was dropped from the team.
Almost two years has passed since then. Still, Yadav’s form is ditching him and he just seems a shadow of what he was, during the early days of his career. He was dropped not only from the Indian team, but from his IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders as well. Things just don’t seems to be going his way.
Recently, Kuldeep was caught in a new controversy. This is related to his picture in which he is taking a vaccine of COVID. The left arm leg spinner was seen going through the needle in guest house lawn on the 15th of May in a private hospital.
Kuldeep involved in social media gimmick!
According to the sources, the picture in question was from the Kanpur Nagar Nigam guest house. However, It is said that Yadav had a vaccination slot booked at Jogeshwar Hospital in Govind Nagar. After the picture went on social media, people started questioning the administration of Kanpur. The question was that how can they allow a special treatment for Kuldeep.
Everyone needs to visit the vaccination center to get the dose of vaccine. Hence, social media users claimed that Kuldeep was getting a VIP treatment by the officials. Consequently, an enquiry happened in the matter. The District Magistrate of Kanpur, Mr Himanshu Gupta submitted his report to the higher officials. The report stated that it was indeed the Jogeshwar Hospital where Kuldeep had got his vaccine. Moreover, his slot was number 136.
When the District Magistrate was asked about the picture which was posted by Kuldeep Yadav, Mr Himanshu Gupta said that it was nothing more than a social media gimmick. He said that it is trend to post the vaccination pictures on social media, celebrities follow it.
On professional front, Kuldeep Yadav’s career seems to be on a freefall. After getting spanked by England in the ODI series, he was out of touch in IPL as well. The result is that Kuldeep has been dropped from India’s test team also, which will travel to England for 6 tests.
His only chance of reigniting his career will be when India travels to Sri Lanka with their second string team in July. Kuldeep will hope that selectors will chose him to play against the Island team, against whom Kuldeep has a good record.
