Eighth match of the IPL, ended in a one sided manner. Chennai Super Kings, defeated Punjab Kings by six wickets and 26 balls to spare. The target of hundred and eight was, never going to be enough for a powerful, Chennai batting line up who bat, almost till the very end.

Moeen Ali was the top scorer for Chennai with a score of 46. Mohammed Shami was the pick of the bowlers for Punjab, as he took two wickets, for 21 runs in his four over.

Earlier Punjab Kings, after losing the toss and being sent into bat by skipper MS Dhoni, could make only make, a 106 at the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. None of their batsman bar the man from Tamilnadu, Shahrukh Khan could stay at the wicket.

Wickets kept falling as Shahrukh Khan, made almost half of the runs. He made 47 runs in 36 balls. Had he been not there at the wicket, Punjab would have struggled to score even a 100 runs. Thanks to Shahrukh Khan, they manage to score hundred and six runs.

Deepak Chahar was the main hero for Chennai. In his four brilliant overs, he took 4 wickets for 13 runs. He, totally destroyed the top order of Punjab kings. Also, he sent back all the the top 4 batsman of Punjab.

Dhoni says chal chal ja

However, a funnier movement happened, which involved Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Deepak Chahar. It was the fifth over of the match and Chahar, had dismissed Chris Gayle and Nicholas Puran in space, of 3 deliveries.

Then, the new man Shahrukh Khan came to the crease. The first ball, Deepak Chahar bowled to Shahrukh Khan and he was beaten. But, there was a sound for Deepak Chahar as the ball passed the bat. He was confident that he’s got his man.

The bowler started appealing, but the umpire remained unmoved. By the time he had a look, to Dhoni for review. Dhoni nodded and said “chal chal ja ja out Nahin Hai”!.

This means that Dhoni quite confident that, Khan was not out. That is why he said, go go it’s not out. It was a comical movement between the 41 year old Dhoni and the 26 year old Deepak Chahar.
