India and Sri Lanka are playing the final of road safety league in Raipur. Both the teams are in good form in this series. While India beat West Indies in the semi finals, Sri Lanka beat South Africa to enter the finals.
For India, Sachin Tendulkar is the captain while for Sri Lanka, Tillakratne Dilshan is captaining the side.
The finals is being played at Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh, International Stadium, Raipur. The two teams from Asia are meeting in a final of any tournament for the first time since 2011 World cup final. The match which ended with that epic Dhoni shot. That final will be etched in to the memory of every Indian cricket team fan. No prizes for guessing why.
In this final, Sri Lanka are playing the same team which beat South Africa legends in the semi final. For India, they have gone with a solitary change. Mohammad Kaif is missing as S Badrinath takes his place.
The Sri Lankan team won the toss and elected to field first. Rangana Herath started the bowling for Sri Lanka as the Indian openers Virender Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar came to bat.
Sehwag hits a 6 and then is Out!
It was a first ball shot from Sehwag again as he just flicked a ball for two in deep mid wicket region. The next balls of the over was then tidy from Herath as just 4 runs came off it. The third over of the innings was then again bowled by left arm spinner Rangana Herath.
First ball of the over was then swiped by Tendulkar for a single which brought Sehwag to strike. It was Sehwag vs Herath part two.
Next two balls were again dot deliveries. Fourth ball of the over was just the length the batsman required. A fuller delivery was slogged swept over mid wicket for a huge six.
However, the bowler had the last laugh and had his revenge the very next ball. It was a Yorker length delivery to which Sehwag came down the track and was bowled neck and crop. The bowler celebrated it with his fists pumping and a loud scream. Sehwag made 10 off 12 before getting out.
