Rahul Tewatia has made a name for himself during this season. His effortless six hitting has grabbed the eyes of many Indian cricket fans. However, he was left in a moment of distress during the final over against Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Tewatia narrowly missed a comical run out in the previous over. After RCB bowlers managing to get the better off Rajasthan batsmen for most of the innings, the onus was on Tewatia to finish the innings on a high. Saini looked in great form on the day, as he removed Jos Buttler on the very first ball of his spell.
He was consistently bowling over 140 despite the heat. But during the final over of the innings, he bowled a nasty full toss which hit Tewatia on the chest. The Rajsthan all rounder was trying to make room to maneuver the ball over fine leg.
Saini followed him but bowled a dangerous full toss onto him. Tewatia immediately hit the ground and physio came running in to treat him.
Tewatia had the last laugh
Once Tewatia was treated, he came back roaring against Saini. He hit two sixes in the next two balls and propelled Rajasthan to 154. Since the ball was waist high full toss, he got a free hit. Saini bowled a length delivery and Tewatia extended his arms to deposit a six over deep square leg.
On the next delivery, Saini followed Tewatia again. But the batsman managed to hit the full toss with power towards deep fine leg. The shot was superlative as he generated enormous power with his wrists. Tewatia finished the innings with a nice cameo of 25 runs from just 12 balls. He scored 3 sixes during his short stay at the crease.

Rahul Tewatia has been one of the unsung heroes for Rajasthan Royals this season. He was relatively unknown during his spell with Delhi Daredevils. But with his impressive knock against Punjab, he managed to earn a name for himself.
Rajasthan Royals will need a strong bowling performance to win this game. They have lost their last match and will be keen to get back to winning ways. On the other hand, Virat Kohli will be hoping to see him team through in this tricky run chase.
