The next on the list is Robin Uthappa. He is an India player who has played for Indian teams in the past, but was in and out of the team. A good performance by him in the series will surely encourage the selectors to have a look at him.

Uthappa started his tournament by hitting a century against Orissa. His 107 set up the base for Kerela victory. Next game against UP, he scored 81 as Kerela won again. in the third game again, he smashed a 100 against railways as his team registered a third successive victory. He made a duck in the next game. But in the final game of league stage, Uthappa pumped a 32 ball 87 to seal Kerela’s place in QF. His scores read- 107,81,100,0,87*. His brilliant form is an indicator that he has still good enough to perform at higher level.

His next game fethced him 97 runs vs Bihar. However, since then Padikkal has truly taken off and has smacked three consecutive centuries. His scores in last 3 games read as – 152,126*,145*!

The way this 20 year old youngster is hitting centuries for fun, we might see him soon in Indian colors.
