Indian skipper Virat Kohli is not at his best on the field during the second T20I against Australia at Sydney. The 32-year old is having a tough time while fielding in recent games against Aussies.

The Australians were put into bat first after losing the toss. But stand in captain Matthew Wade got the hosts to a flier with some brilliant hitting inside the powerplay overs. The southpaw was in full flow and took on Indian bowlers at ease.

In the process, he managed to score a quick fire fifty. However, the funny incident took place during the eighth over. Washington outfoxed the charging Wade and the batter popped a dolly to short extra cover.

Virat Kohli, who was at the position had failed to take an easy catch. But Matthew Wade was caught ball watching as he stood in the middle of the pitch. Although Virat dropped the catch, he was sharp enough to understand the situation.

He quickly threw the ball towards KL Rahul who dislodged the bails. Wade was caught short of the crease as he was run out in a bizzare fashion. It was a terrible mix up as Smith and Wade were both watching the ball.

Meanwhile, Steve Smith carried on with his innings. He got good support from Moises Henriques and Glenn Maxwell as Australia went onto score an impressive 194 in their 20 overs.

All Indian bowlers looked clueless for most of the innings. Only Natarajan impressed again with two wickets and conceding a mere 20 runs in his 4 overs. Chasing 195, Indian openers got the team to a strong start.

KL Rahul and Shikhar Dhawan got the team off to a great start. Dhawan went onto score a fifty with good support from Kohli. The Indian batters are looking in good control of the chase at the time of writing.

But they need to win this match in order to clinch the series. India will play the final T20 international against Australia on Tuesday. The tour will then shift to the longest format.
