Just like his batting, his activities on social media is also loved by his fans.

After India lost the final of World Test Championships, there are a lot of conversations happening regarding the match on every platform of social media. From former to current players, from fans to critics, every one had their fair share of sayings and opinions. Hence, Virender Sehwag also came up with a funny meme on India’s performance on the last day.

Actually, the meme was a dialogue from a popular Hindi web series named ‘Mirzapur’. In this, one of the character says to another character “aapse better umeed kiye they hum”. (I expected better from you ). Hence, by sharing this meme Sehwag took aim at the Indian team on their poor display with the bat on the last day of the final of WTC.

Sad end for India on final day!

Earlier in the match, the Indian team collapsed from 64-2 to 170 all out. It was a poor effort with the bat combined with some brilliant bowling by New Zealand. None of the Indian batsmen could show resilience as the Kiwis were all over India. Just one good partnership with bat would have done the job for the Indian team as a draw would meant that the trophy would be shared.

However, this did not happen as there was a flurry of wickets since the beginning of morning session. After losing three wickets in the first session, a lot of Indian hopes rested on Rishabh Pant. But, as soon as Pant was dismissed, the end was near for India. With a lead of just 138 runs, they gave a target of 139 runs to New Zealand in the fourth innings.

This target proved too easy for the Kiwis who knocked off the runs with loss of just 2 wickets. Moreover, he captain Kane Williamson hit a half century to guide his team to victory.
