The first match of the IPL season, 2021 is underway. Royal Challengers Captain, Virat Kohli won the toss and elected to field first. The decision was a good one. None, of the openers could get going. Moreover, Rohit Sharma was run out in, the fourth over of the innings. He made 19 runs, before getting dismissed.

Surya Kumar Yadav at number 3, and other opener Chris Lynn then took, over from there. The duo added 70 runs, for the second wicket in quick time. They, took just 7 overs to add that runs. Kyle Jamieson then, struck with a short ball. The ball, bounced more than expected as Surya Yadav shaped to cut.

However, the ball took the outside edge and settled into the hands of wicket keeper, AB De Villiers. Yadav, made 31 in 23 balls. Chris Lynn was looking great, at the other end. He, managed to hit 3 sixes and four fours, and was looking all set to complete his fifty, in the debut match for Mumbai Indians.

But, the opener from Australia was dismissed, by a sensational catch from Washington Sunder. In the thirteenth over of the innings, Sunder was bowling. The fifth ball, of the over was a flat and a quick delivery, by the bowler. Lynn wanted to make room, and slog it out of the ground. He was beaten in the air, but still went for the shot.

The ball went straight up, in the air and was going towards, short mid on. When, the bowler Sunder saw this, he went running in for the catch, all by himself. Despite, knowing that it will be a mighty, difficult thing to catch the ball, he ran towards the ball and started sprinting backwards.

The ball still looked to be out, of his reach. But Sunder stretched to his last, and the ball fell into his palms, somehow. Not only this, he managed to hold his shape and maintained balance. It, was an amazing piece of athleticism by, the young spinner from Tamil Nadu, playing at his home ground.

His captain Virat Kohli too gestured, that he enjoyed the catch and the effort of the bowler.
