Chennai Super Kings pace bowler Deepak Chahar is finally back in team training on Friday. After being tested positive for corona, the speedster had to undergo an additional 14 day quarantine.
Deepak Chahar is one of the two Chennai Super Kings players who were tested positive in late August. They were separated from the main team and shifted to a different hotel for quarantine. The young pacer had to undergo three more further tests in this period and was tested negative.
It requires a huge mental strength to be able to comeback after such dire situation. However, Deepak Chahar has managed to overcome covid after spending 20 days in isolation. Finally, the 28-year old is seen on the sidelines of the practice game on Thursday.
In the video shared by Chennai Super Kings, the Agra born cricketer was posed few queries about his recovery. Chahar was seen on high spirits despite the setbacks he had since arriving in Dubai.
Meanwhile, CEO Viswanathan has already confirmed Chahar will be in team training from Friday. On the other hand, Chahar has begun practising bowling from Wednesday itself. His addition is a massive boost to Chennai Super Kings ahead of IPL 2020.
Deepak Chahar- Match Winner for CSK
Despite all the chaos, Deepak Chahar is arguably the best bowler in Chennai Super Kings dug out. He has transformed himself from a skilled new ball bowler to a well round death bowler.
His stats in IPL 2019 speaks for the volumes of improvement he made in the past couple of seasons. Deepak Chahar will be an important player for CSK cometh the new season. The team management are hopeful to see him in full fitness before their first game against Mumbai Indians.
