In an unfortunate news, one player of Indian contingent has been found COVID positive prior the second T20 match. This player is none other than Krunal Pandya. Consequently he was put under isolation while 8 players who were close to him in last 24 hours have been quarantined. Now all the players will go through RT-PCR tests in order to find out any more cases.

If there are no more cases, we will have a match tomorrow. On the other hand if there are more cases, the future of series might come in danger. While today’s match was rescheduled to tomorrow, the third will now be played on 30th July.

With Krunal Pandya now ruled out of the series, the Indian team which lock horns with Sri Lanka could look like this :

Shikhar Dhawan, Devdutt Padikkal, Sanju Samson, Manish Pandey, Ishan Kishan, Krishnappa Gowtham, Hardik Pandya, Deepak Chahar, Bhavaneshwar Kumar, Varun Chakarvarthy, Yuzvendra Chahal.

Similarly the Sri Lankan team could play this team :

Avishka Fernando, Minod Bhanuka (wk), Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Dhananjaya de Silva, Charith Asalanka, Dasun Shanaka (capt), Chamika Karunaratne, Wanindu Hasaranga, Isuru Udana, Dushmantha Chameera, Akila Dananjaya

Pitch :

The wicket could turn a lot as all the 3 ODIs and first T20 was played on this ground. Hence it would have made the pitch dry. India made a total of 164 which was considered 15 runs too low. In the end they managed to defend it easily.

India have had complete dominance over Sri Lanka in T20 matches. They have won 14 out of 20 games against their neighbors across Palk Strait.

Both these players could miss the second T20

Timings :

The 2nd T-20 between India vs Sri Lanka to start at 8PM on Tuesday, July 28. The toss to take place at 7:30 PM.

Broadcaster :

Sony network to telecast the live match from 7:30pm. Also fans can watch the online streaming of the match on Sony Liv app by taking paid subscription.

In the second match, India might miss out on two players. These players are Prithvi Shaw and Surya Kumar Yadav. Both of them have been called to the Indian team for the test series in England where they will replace the injured players. Hence we could see at least two changes in the second T20 compared to first game.
