Mumbai Indians cricketer Ishan Kishan is having the best possible IPL he could imagine. After being left out in the first couple of games, Ishan came back into Mumbai Indians team.
He scored a memorable 99 against RCB last week and is proving his mettle in the middle order. In the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, he once had an excellent outing with the bat. However, the most decisive action he had in the match was to dismiss David Warner.
After posting an impressive 208, Mumbai Indians bowlers were being taken apart by David Warner. The Australian is trying to find his form in the ongoing IPL after a slow start. Sunrisers were very much considered favorites to chase the score with Warner at the crease.
But a moment of brilliance from Ishan Kishan changed the match into Mumbai Indians’ favor. Warner was going with all guns blazing coming into the 16th over. But James Pattinson managed to outfox his countrymen with a slower ball.
Warner slashed the ball hard and it was travelling to third man boundary. But Ishan Kishan at the edge of thirty yard circle took a diving catch after flying to his right. The ball stuck into his hands and so did the match went into Mumbai Indians’ hands.

David Warner scored his first fifty in IPL 2020. Despite not getting much support from other batters, Warner continued to stay at one end and guided Sunrisers in the chase until 16th over. With his dismissal, Sunrisers lost their way and Mumbai Indians clinched an easy victory.
Thanks to Ishan Kishan’s moment of brilliance, Mumbai were able to easily win this tie. On the other hand, Sunrisers will be hoping to see Bhuvneshwar Kumar back into the side for their next game.
Siddarth Kaul who came in as a replacement failed miserably. He gave away 64 runs in his quota of 4 overs and failed to put a stop to Mumbai’s hard hitting. Mumbai Indians will be happy with their performance despite some sub standard performances on the field.
The team will now look to regroup and get ready for their next match. The return of form to de Kock is a massive boost for the team. With all their batters in decent form, Mumbai possess arguably the strongest batting lineup this season.
It remains to be seen whether both these sides will be able to reach the playoffs as they have been the traditional heavyweights in recent years.
