The names of Shikhar Dhawan, Sanju Samson, R Ashwin, Bhuneshwar Kumar and Yuzvendra Chahal are prominent among them. At the same time, Tilak Verma and the famous Krishna, who were selected in the Asia Cup, have also not got a chance in this upcoming tournament.

While these veteran players were not given a chance in the World Cup squad, KL Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav, who did not play a single match in the Asia Cup, got tickets to the World Cup very comfortably. Due to which 3 veteran players of India have suffered the biggest blow. The reason for which is also that Shikhar Dhawan played the last match of his One Day International cricket career against Bangladesh on 10 December 2022. At the same time, R Ashwin played his last ODI against South Africa on 21 January 2022. While Bhuvneshwar Kumar also played last ODI on same date.

In such a situation, this date makes it clear that the team management will hardly give these three players a chance in the next ODI when the young players are performing well.
