The Asia Cup 2023 tournament is starting from 30th August. Meanwhile a big deal has come to the fore regarding the ODI World Cup to be played this year. In fact, Team India’s former veteran player Piyush Chawla has selected his 15-member Indian team for this upcoming tournament. In which he has shown the way out to many veteran players, while some young players have been given a place in the ODI squad.
In this squad selected by Piyush Chawla, he has selected Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill as openers. Whereas for number three, Chawla has given Virat Kohli a place in the team, describing him as the best. Whereas for the fourth and fifth numbers, he has included 4 players, including the names of Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Verma, KL Rahul, Ishan Kishan. However, Chawla has not considered Shreyas Iyer suitable in the World Cup squad. Ravindra Jadeja and Hardik Pandya have been included as all-rounder players. While in fast bowling, Mohammed Shami, Jaspreet Bumrah, Shardul Thakur, Mohammed Siraj are considered the best. While in the spin department, Chawla has included Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal in this 5-member Indian squad, expressing confidence in Kulcha. While Akshar Patel along with Shreyas Iyer has also not been included in this squad. In this squad, Chawla has assigned the responsibility of captain to Rohit and vice-captain to Hardik.
