Indian skipper Virat Kohli was visibly happy after dismissing Nathan Lyon. The hosts have frustrated Indian bowlers with some good partnerships in their innings. But Virat Kohli & Co. managed to get a good lead at the end of Day 2.

India packed up quickly in the morning session after managing to add just 11 more runs to their overnight score. The visitors scored a disappointing 244 after having a solid foundation.
Indian bowlers brought the team back into the contest in a dominating manner. Jasprit Bumrah managed to dismiss both the openers before Ashwin showed his class. Umesh Yadav also shined in the latter part of the innings as he got 2 quick wickets. Australia scored 191 and India amassed crucial first innings lead.
Marnus Labuschagne and Tim Paine were the pick of the batsmen. On the other hand, Ashwin managed a five wicket haul. India go into Day 3 as strong favorites after dominating the day’s play.
The onus is on Virat Kohli and India’s middle order as this is India’s game to lose at this moment. Australia will look to bounce back with the ball but it will tough against in form Indian batters.
