Chennai super kings have bowled brilliantly to stop Punjab Kings to ordinary total of 106 for 8. None of the batsman from Punjab Kings except number 6 Shahrukh Khan could stand at the wicket. All of them was out due to either bad short selection or amazing bowling by Chennai Super Kings.

The wrecker in chief, however from Chennai Super Kings was the swing bowler Deepak Chahar. The bowler from Rajasthan picked up four top order wickets and absolutely dismantled Punjab Kings in the power play itself.

He bowled, an amazing line length and his swinging deliveries was, of other worldly level. None of the batsman looked comfortable while facing the bowler. He looked, like picking up a wicket in every over.

Magical swing of Deepak Chahar

Deepak Chahar’s  first wicket was of Punjab Kings opener Mayank Agarwal. He was beaten by terrific swinging delivery and had his off stump pegged back. Agarwal was out for a duck and Chennai had a wicket in the first over itself.

Then Deepak Chahar, got the wicket of arguably the biggest name in T20 cricket. Chris Gayle was beaten by a brilliant knuckle ball and, gave a catch to Ravinder Jadeja who took a good catch himself, to dismiss him. Then, it was the turn of another left handed West Indian, Nicholas Pooran.

Pooran lasted two deliveries. On his second delivery, he pulled a short delivery into the hands, of the fine leg. Just like Mayank Agarwal, he did not trouble the scorers and, was out for a duck.

In his last over Deepak Chahar struck, for the fourth time. Deepak Hooda, was his latest victim. He just drove a simple delivery into the hands of mid off, for catching practice. Hooda made 10 runs. He was the second highest scorer for Punjab in the last game and had played a brilliant came. However, in this match he could not fire.

If Chennai goes on to win the match, Deepak Chahar will be as strong candidate for man of the match. He, finished with magical figures of four overs 13 runs and 4 wickets.
