Sarfaraz Ahmed has been a topic of discussion once again on social media. After being axed from captaincy post 2019 world cup, the cricketer was dropped from the team later.

He was chosen for the series against England. After warming bench in the previous four matches, the veteran cricketer finally got a chance in the last T20I match. However, he was viral in the first appearance he made for Pakistan in 11 months.

The cricketer was once again captured yawning on the boundary ropes during Pakistan’s batting. But the most talked about incident is the missed stumping of Moeen Ali.

After making an impressive 190 in the first innings, England had their backs against the wall in the chase. They were reduced to 86/4 in the dirst 10 overs with all the top order back in the pavilion.

Meanwhile, Moeen Ali is struggling to find his form in the recent matches. But the left hander was given a life line by Sarfaraz Ahmed during the second half of the chase.

On the fourth ball of the 11th over, Moeen Ali tried to hit spinner Imad Wasim out of the park but failed to have a connect with the ball. Sarfaraz Ahmed has collected the ball but somehow mysteriously failed to dislodge the bails.

Seeing this incident, netizens could not forgive the ex-Pakistani captain. On the other hand, Moeen Ali went on to hit a 33-ball 61 cameo to bring England close to the victory. But his efforts were not enough for the hosts as Pakistan managed to secure a five run win.

The result meant the T20I series was leveled at 1-1. But Sarfaraz Ahmed became the main discussion on the day. Here is how Twitter reacted to Sarfaraz’s funny incident.

England To Play Australia Next

After a successful series against Pakistan, the hosts are set to play against Australia next. The two teams will clash in a highly anticipated T20 series followed by ODI series.

The visitors have already landed on the shores of England. Once the series is completed, players will then join their respective IPL sides. September 21st is the earliest date that the players can play in Indian Premier League this season.
