Asia Cup 2023 team India Squad: The great battle of Asian cricket i.e. Asia Cup is to be played from 30th August. BCCI has announced Team India for this tournament. The BCCI has just selected a 17-member squad for the 2023 Asia Cup.
Senior leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, wicket-keeper batsman Sanju Samson and fast bowler Umran Malik have not been included in India’s 17-member squad for the 2023 Asia Cup. However, Samson will be associated with the team as a back-up wicketkeeper.
Wicket-keeper batsman KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer have returned to Team India led by Rohit Sharma. Actually, KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer were struggling with injury. But now both the players are fully fit. KL Rahul was last seen on the field during the IPL 2023 season. KL Rahul was injured against Royal Challengers Bangalore. After which he could not play in the entire tournament. However, with the return of KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer, the middle order of Team India looks very strong.
India’s 17-member squad for the 2023 Asia Cup – Rohit Sharma (captain), Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul (wicketkeeper), Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Verma, Ishan Kishan (reserve wicketkeeper), Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja , Akshar Patel, Shardul Thakur, Jaspreet Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj, Kuldeep Yadav and the Prasidh Krishna.
The 2023 Asia Cup will start from 30 August. The first match of the tournament will be played between Pakistan and Nepal. At the same time, Team India will play its first match in the 2023 Asia Cup against Pakistan on 2 September. The final match of Asia Cup is to be played on 17 September.
