Sanju Samson was dismissed in a rather controversial fashion against Royal Challengers Bangalore. The in form cricketer has been playing for fun in the ongoing IPL. He scored some crucial runs and helped them win on both occasions so far this season.

After losing Steve Smith in third over, Samson announced his arrival with a subtle four against Udana. He simply punched the ball towards the cover for a delightful four.

However, Yuzvendra Chahal dismissed Samson on his first delivery of the match. Samson tried to drive Chahal towards the covers. But he could only doll the ball towards Chahal. The talented spinner took a quick reflex catch to his right.

However, the catch was very low and umpires have gone to third umpire to check whether the catch was clean. The replays were controversial as they could not give a conclusive evidence. The replay suggests that Chahal got his fingers under the ball.

But there is also a portion of ball that is clearly touching the ball. Now, as per cricket rules, the ball should not touch the ground for a clean catch. Finally, the third umpire  isn’t sure but he feels there isn’t enough evidence to overturn the onfield call.

Since the original decision was given as out, the final decision stood as out. But fans tend to disagree on this incident. Do let us know what you feel whether this is out or not out?

Here is Sanju Samson’s wicket

With quick wicket losses of Smith, Buttler and Samson, Rajasthan Royals are in deep trouble at the moment. They are the most in form batters for Rajasthan. But the onus is now on experienced Robin Uthappa. He has not been in his best form in the first three games. But the experienced campaigner will need to step up in this game.

Rajasthan Royals are reeling at 50/3 in 8n overs at the time of writing. Meanwhile, the fixture is evenly poised based on history. Both sides have won two games out of three. They have faced each other 18 times. Royal Challengers hold a slight edge on head to head with 10 wins. Rajasthan Royals managed to win eight.

Virat Kohli will look to continue the momentum as RCB are desperate to get back into play offs. They were very poor in the post couple of seasons. It remains to be seen whether RCB can win this game as pitch tends to slow down in during the chase.
