Delhi Capitals batsman Shikhar Dhawan looks frustrated to stay in his room at the moment. The dashing south paw made a hilarious short video on Instagram showing his current situation in Dubai.
As part of preventive measures, all cricketers and staff are requested to undergo six day mandatory self quarantine upon reaching Dubai. The Delhi Capitals side has reached Dubai last week and are close to completing their quarantine.
In the video posted by Dhawan on Instagram, he explained his situation by lip suncing famous Hum Tum Ek Kamre Me Band Ho song. He can seen trying to find a way out of his room, but it looks like his efforts were not fruitful.
His caption to the post read, “Still cant open my room #quarantine 2 days to go.Cannot wait.”
Of course, he almost completed the hard part and will be out of his room in less than 48 hours now. On the other hand, Kolkata Knight Riders spinner Kuldeep Yadav reacted to this video in a hilarious way.
The young cricketer has requested Dhawan to stay indoors for IPL 2020 as it will be best thing for opponents. It will be great to see him bowl to Dhawan in the upcoming season though with both cricketers ready to give their best.
“Haha mere bhai Ap andar hi rho pure ipl tak sahi rahega dusri team ke liye (Please stay indoors for the season, brother. It will be the best thing for other teams),” his reply read.
Shikhar Dhawan Key For Delhi Capitals Success
Having so much success in IPL during his Sunrisers Hyderabad tenure, Dhawan is undoubtedly one of the greatest batsmen in IPL history. Last season, he moved to Delhi Capitals and provided the experience in their young batting lineup.
In all likely scenario, the southpaw will once again open the innings to his home city franchise. He managed to score 521 runs as an opener in IPL 2019 and will look to continue his rich vein of form in the upcoming edition as well.
On the other hand, Delhi Capitals are also looking to mount a serious challenge for title this season. Although, they possess some of the biggest talents in Indian cricket, they have failed to qualify for an IPL final so far.
In fact, they are the only inaugural teams that are yet to reach an IPL final. However, an in form Shikhar Dhawan coupled with Ajinkya Rahane at the top could prove to be important for their aspirations in IPL 2020.
