Rajasthan Royals all rounder Rahul Tewatia got into a heated argument with fast bowler Khaleel Ahmed after their win against Sunrisers. The 27-year old played a match winning role in helping Rajasthan secure two crucial points.

However, things got heated up once Rajasthan crossed the line. Riyag Parag was seen dancing after hitting six against Khaleel. On the other side of the pitch, Tewatia was having an argument with Khaleel Ahmed.

The roots for the incident happened during the 20th over. Khaleel Ahmed was seen patting on the back of Tewatia before bowling the penultimate ball. Tewatia was not impressed with something during the 19.3 delivery.

The duo had an argument at the end of that delivery. On the next ball, Riyag Parag scored a six over extra cover. But all is not forgotten at the end of the match. Both the players went on with their argument and things looked heated.

Sunrisers Hyderabad captain David Warner came into rescue and cooled down the situation. After few moments, Khaleel Ahmed went to Tewatia and had an arm around him. They definitely looked to have sorted out the issues between them.

He also rubbished all rumors and simply dismissed the incident with Khaleel as a thing in the heat of moment. But he will definitely sleep much better after that epic innings again today.

Asked about an incident involving SRH bowler Khaleel Ahmed, Tewatia said, “No big deal, we just got taken away in the heat of the moment.”

Sunrisers were on top for almost all through the match. Batting first, they kept their wickets intact despite scoring low in the powerplay. However, Kane Williamson and young Priyam Garg scored 35 runs in the final two overs to make the scoreboard read 158/4.

Chasing a par 159, Rajasthan top order was dismissed inside the powerplay. Sunrisers got a further grip on the match when they managed to take Samson’s wicket. But young Riyag and Tewatia got their batting hat on. The duo took the match deep and unveiled their power hitting in the death overs.

Even premier bowler like Rashid Khan had no answers when Tewatia went after him in the 18th over. The southpaw scored three consecutive fours and gave momentum to Rajasthan Royals in the chase. Eventually, they crossed the line in a gripping encounter.

The win saw Rajasthan take two very important points. After winning their first two games in IPL this season, the team lost their way in recent games. A game like the one against Sunrisers will keep them in good stead going into the second leg of group phase.
