Rishabh Pant has been in fine form for Delhi Capitals this season. He has constantly scored important knocks throughout IPL 2020. Although he did not score a massive fifty till now, he made sure to get a quick fire 30 whenever needed.

Today also, Pant has been a cool head and played maturely. He anchored the innings in the middle overs and gave much of the strike to Marcus Stoinis. Since Stoinis was in full flow, Pant decided to take a back seat until the death overs.

However, being one of the best hard hitters in world cricket, Pant has upped the ante in the final overs. He took on RCB bowlers once the last phase began. Mohammed Siraj has been on a comeback on his own. The bowler is playing his first match of the season.

The talented young bowler made a strong comeback in his first three overs as he hardly gave away runs. However, his final over began in the worst possible way. Siraj bowled a dangerous beamer onto Rishabh Pant. But Pant was up to the task and was able to hit an excellent six over fine leg.

The shot was similar to a baseball hit. Siraj gave away a six on a no ball on the first delivery and Pant gladly accepted the gift. Here is Pant’s massive six

But Siraj came back strongly as he bowled a dot ball on the free hit delivery. Pant went cheeky but Siraj bowled a good length ball and Pant missed it completely.

The next ball, Siraj managed to outfox Pant with a variation in pace. Pant was early into the shot and chopped the ball on to his wickets. Here is how Pant got himself dismissed against Siraj.

Siraj came back very strongly despite a poor start to the over. The wicket also came at the right time as RCB were unable to stem the run flow from both Pant and Stoinis. Delhi Capitals finished strongly with 196 on the board.

Virat Kohli and his batsmen has a very hard task at hand. To chase 197 on this Dubai wicket has not been done so far in IPL 2020. They can take some inspiration from Chennai Super Kings from last night.

The men in yellow pounced on the opportunity and registered a massive 10 wicket win over Kings XI Punjab. The winner of this match will climb to the top of the table. Both teams are eager to consolidate their position for play offs. Only a strong top order performance from Royal Challengers, will help them win this game.
