After his innings, many players praised Rishabh pant for his batting. Ex Indian captain and now BCCI president Sourav Ganguly said that he could well go on to be the best wicket keeper India has ever produced.

Former Australian legendary and all time great wicket keeper batsman Adam Gilchrist said that its not only the runs which matters but also the conditions in which it was made and did it help the team to achieve victory. Gilchrist further emphasized that he expects Pant to carry on the form in near future as well.

Other retired English players too took their turns in appreciating the talent and innings of Pant. Be it Nasser Hussain or Kevin Pietersen or even Michael Vaughan, all were generous enough in positive views about the future of Rishabh Pant.

However apart from all these, one more thing which is over looked when Pant comes to mind is his comical one liners and statements aimed at appreciating the bowlers and taunting the opposition batsmen.

After the Ahmedabad game ended, Pant was asked about the same by broadcaster Harsha Bhogle in the post match presentation. In reply of this Pant said that it is something which comes naturally to him and he wants to entertain everyone.

This reply by Pant and the way he replied made that clip an instant hit on social media.

Now, two days after the match has ended, one more clip of Pant is going viral on social media. In this video, Rohit Sharma is chatting with Pant and Washington Sunder. After a while Sharma asks Pant – “log kehte hai keeping k piche ap bahot baat karte ho. Kya hai wo kya hai”?

As expected, Pant replied in his own flair – Nothing. I just like to enjoy my cricket.Issey thora team ka morale bhi up rehta hai. Team ko kaise bhi help ho jae wahi rehta hai.

In other words, Pant said – there should not be too much fuss over his commentary from behind the stumps. He just likes to enjoy his cricket and it also helps the morale of the team. Also, his aim is to help the team anyhow and he would do it.

With this selfless attitude, Pant looks destined for more glory and records. In the future, we might see more of Pant’s sixes and hear his commentary from behind the stumps.
