Indian Premier League is the biggest domestic T20 league in world cricket. The league began a new era in cricket which lured players from across the world. There were even instances where some players decided in favor of IPL over their international assignments.

Thanks to the lucrative contracts, IPL always had the best cricketers every year. However, with covid pandemic this year, there are few big names that are going to miss the event. The board is taking every precaution possible and have implemented strict protocol to conduct a successful event.

But some players are going to miss the tournament due to various reasons. Here are the top 7 cricketers that are going to miss IPL 2020.

#7. Harry Gurney

The English pacer decided not to play in IPL 2020 due to injury problems. The talented bowler will now have a surgery on his shoulder injury.

He had played an important role in Kolkata Knight Riders’ bowling unit last year. However, the veteran cricketer has not played a game since BBL 2019. He also withdrew from England’s Vitality Blast last month.

Meanwhile, Kolkata Knight Riders are quick to sign Ali Khan as a replacement. But the decision to include him will be in the hands of IPL governing council. Khan has played a crucial role for Trinbago Knight Riders in CPL 2020. So, since KKR are the parent club, they drafted him for upcoming IPL 2020.
